Max-Planck Inst. f. biological Cybernetics – PanoLab
Since 2006 domeprojection.com has been responsible for the perfect visual quality of the so-called “PanoLab” of the Max-Planck Institute for biological Cybernetics. Since then, domeprojection.com has made numerous calibrations of the complex display system and provided updates to our auto-calibration system installation at the PanoLab.
About the PanoLab
The PanoLab is a wide-area high realistic projection system for interactive presentations of virtual environments.
The half-spherical screen of PanoLab allows the simulation of large visual fields providing an increased degree of immersion. It should be mentioned that at PanoLab the openWARP® hardware was developed. It is used mainly for fundamental research in human perception, cognition and action.
About the Institute
The 80 Max Planck Institutes conduct basic research in the service of the general public in the natural sciences, life sciences, social sciences, and the humanities and is Germanyʼs most successful research organization with 17 Nobel laureates.
The Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics is studying signal and information processing in the brain.
